Your display preference
When you choose a light or dark theme, the site saves that choice under starthinc-theme in local storage on your device. This is browser storage rather than a cookie. It remembers the appearance you selected and has no built-in expiry; your browser may clear it.
The stored value is light or dark. It is read locally for the display preference and is not sent by the site as part of an inquiry or used to identify you for advertising. Language selection is represented by the page URL; the current site does not store a language preference.
Cloudflare delivery and security
Our website uses Cloudflare to deliver traffic and help protect availability. Depending on a request and the protection features involved, Cloudflare may set cookies for security checks or service continuity. These are distinct from our theme preference.
For example, Cloudflare documents cf_clearance for challenge results, __cf_bm for bot protection, and cf_ob_info / cf_use_ob for temporary service-continuity behavior. These are conditional examples, not a claim that every visitor receives each cookie. Cookie lifetimes depend on the relevant feature.
Analytics and advertising
The current company website has no integrated marketing analytics, advertising pixels, or cross-site advertising trackers. Hosting access logs and Cloudflare traffic or security metrics can still exist even when a browser has no cookies.
There are currently no optional analytics or advertising categories to enable in a consent panel. If we introduce optional tools that require consent, we will provide the relevant choice before activating them.
Managing stored data
Use the theme control in the site header to change your display preference. To remove it, clear this website’s local storage or site data in your browser’s privacy settings. The site will then use your system appearance until you choose another theme.
You can also inspect, block, or remove cookies through your browser settings. Blocking security cookies can cause repeated challenges or prevent some requests from completing. Removing site data does not delete email you have already sent to us; contact us separately for a privacy request.
